Skilled Trades and Technologies Evening

A Skilled Trades Pathway Learning Opportunity for HDSB Families

 

The Halton District School Board is presenting a virtual information evening to introduce students and their families to careers in the skilled trades. 

There are 2 presentations. Each one is free and there is no need to pre-register:

  • Thursday, March 24 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    • This session is for students in elementary schools

  • Wednesday, March 30 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    • This session is for students in secondary schools

McMillan-helmet-WEB.jpgThe keynote speaker for both events is skilled trades advocate Jamie McMillan, the founder and primary spokesperson of Workboot Careers. 

She is a Motivational Speaker, Journeyman Ironworker, Apprentice Boilermaker, Author, Visionary and Advocate for Skilled Trades, Technology, Mental Health, Homelessness and Youth.

 

The evening will also include a presentation from Skills Ontario and a Question Period.
