The Electrical Concentrated OYAP is a program specifically designed to help students make a smooth successful transition from high school directly into their post-secondary education Electrician apprenticeship. Similar apprenticeship preparation certificate programs are also offered at local community colleges, and private technical training centres. They can cost between $2,500 and $8,700 at these other sites. This program is offered at only 1 secondary school in Halton. It is a dual credit program with Sheridan College, where part of the time, the student will be at Sheridan College, Brampton Campus earning Sheridan College credits. The program has spent time helping Habitat for Humanity and local community agencies with hands on electrical projects.
